AIS Industrial Construction Supply History

AIS was started in 1945 by my grandfather Paul J. Christensen when he saw a need after the second World War for someone to supply all of the airlines at the Stapleton Airfield.

The original name of the company was Aviation Service Supply, but he got tired of receiving phone calls on the weekends to fix someone's airplane so he changed the name to Aviation Industrial Supply. About two years ago we styarted using our initials AIS because we got tired of explaning that we don't sell airplane parts or anything really aircraft related anymore.

We are now doing business as AIS Industrial & Construction Supply.

So what do we sell?

We are distributors of many fine brands of hand tools, power tools and industrial supplies. Featured in this website you will find some of our major brands such as Milwaukee, Ridgid, Armstrong, Craftsman, Penco, Cooper, Klein, Greenlee, Sprayon/Krylon, Coleman Cable, DeWalt and Ergodyne.

We also like to think of ourselves as a local family owned alternative to the Big Box stores. In fact, our tag line is "Think outside the Big Box!"
